32nd Annual Giant Scale Fun Fly
Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 10:38 pm
The Binghamton Aeros would like to invite you and your club members to our 32st Annual Giant Scale Fun Fly. Due to popular demand the event has been expanded to Four Full Days! It has also been re-branded to the Aeros’ Festival of Giants. It is being held on August 10th thru 13th. Early arrival on August 9th is OK after noon. The event is held at the Chenango Bridge Airport, 247 Airport Rd. Chenango Bridge in the Southerntier of NY. Those that have flown here in the past know what a great field this is to fly at. It is a full scale airport a nicely groomed grass runway and a large open flying area. This is also the site of the 2012 Rally of the Giants.
The event is open to all giant scale aircraft. For monoplanes it must have a wingspan of 80” or more, for multi-wing planes it must have a wingspan of 60” or more. Smaller wingspans are allowed proving it is at least 1⁄4 scale of an actual full scale manned aircraft. For turbine jets a combined fuselage and wingspan of 130” or more is needed. Current AMA or MAAC is also required. It is always a great weekend, so come and join the fun! We have some great pilot prizes donated by our sponsors.
As always we are encouraging pre-registration through RCFlightDeck.com. The process is simple. Just search for our event and click Register as pilot. No fees are due when you pre- register. You will pay the landing fee when you arrive at the event. Landing fee is $25, for all four days, or just $20 if pre-registered at RCFlightDeck.com.
This year’s event is in support of our local CHOW(Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse).
We hope to see you there. For more information visit our new website, see our flyer, or visit RCFlightDeck.com
