Postby Haggie » Tue Aug 07, 2012 10:15 pm

Step one is complete for the installation of our dsl/weather station.
I would like to thank Nalby and jetshopbob for their help in digging
and finding the existing wire.

I know that wire is here somewhere.....

Hey John,

Can you add a Wi-Fi capable router to the install? I would really like to be able to surf the web while out at the field.

We have now completed step two. We have installed a cabinet to hold the equipment.
We have also completed step three. We have made an appointment for installation of the DSL.
When this is completed and working we will order the rest of the equipment.

Step four is now complete. The DSL is now installed and is working. Next we will order the rest of the equipment.
You are now able to get on the internet from the field.

.
WOW! Is that an antenna or a Lightning rod?

We might not want to be under that metal tin roof with that Lightning rod in a thunder storm :)

Step 6 and final step: Weather Station is complete and up and running. Here is how you can get your up to the minute weather report:
* Easiest: Go to the front page of our website and click on the Weatherlink Network icon.
* On the forum page in the upper right (where you would log in or out) click on Field Weather.
* Type in your browser and save as a bookmark or favorite: http://www.weatherlink.com/user/wawayandaweather
* Download the app for your iphone: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/weatherl ... 90236?mt=8
* Download app for android phones: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... 5pYy53bCJd
* In your app just tap the + and search for wawayanda. Wawayanda Flying Club will come up, just save as favorite.

I would like to thank Nancy for helping me set up the console, weatherlinkip data log and activating and Pete for posting the active
links on the website. Thanks to the Club as well, for supporting the idea of keeping up with technology. Enjoy!
