I have been working on a project for the field so we can charge our batteries at the field.
This is a picture of the charging box.

Looks Great. How many amps will it put out?

At this time it is backed by two 30 amp circut breakers. the red line down the middle of the box is the split of the circuts

Looks great- and remember if the video cam can work out , I'll provide it.

At this point the charging shelf and box have been installed.
Bellow the brackets for the solar panels are mounted on the roof

The next move is to install the solar panels on to the mounting brackets.
Now we install the batteries. The charging station is now completly installed
at the field and is usable for charging. Enjoy.

Plug the banana plugs from your charger into the Grey box with all the Fe-male banana plugs.
Turn on your charger and charge your battery per the manufactures instructions.
All that is being supplied is 12V for your charger. If for some reason your charger is not on once plugged in Press the re-set button on the box.

What, no leads? You mean I have to provide my own long leads?

Thank you John and all of you who have gone through the trouble of getting this charging station from idea to a working, functional charging facility.

I am sure it will get as much use as the flight line.

I took a 25 foot long 12gauge extension cord and put banana plugs on on end. The other end I have a 4"x2" plastic box with 2 sets of female banana plugs on the box. Now I can be 25 feet away and still be able to use the charger.
If any one want pictures let me know.

I am also in the process of making a 4 foot long extension with the banana plugs If you look haggies pictures you can see the table is about 6 foot long. Chargers only come with about 3 foot of cord.
