1. All pilots flying at our field are responsible that AMA, and WFC Safety Rules
are observed and "Common Sense" is practiced. pilots flying at our field are

2. After incurring a rule violation two times, this member or guest will be asked to
leave the field for the remainder of the day. If this does not resolve the situation, the
issue will be brought in before the board for furtherreview and possible actions
including revoking the member's membership in WFC.
3. AMA Cards and WFC ID Cards must be carried. Guests of WFC Members must sign the insurance
waiver available in the clubhouse.
4.In the interest of our neighbors, no flights over their dwellings are permitted at any time. No flying,
no starting of engines or motors before 8:00AM on any day and not before 9:00AM on Sundays and Holidays.
We will make every effort feasible to keep noise levels at a minimum. No flying after dusk with the exception
of electrics with lights, which may fly until 10:00pm.
5. In our own interest and as a courtesy to the Owners, who provide the field to
the Club at no cost, we will not leave any refuse in the Club House or at our
field. It is the responsibility of every member and guest to leave the field in
an absolutely clean condition. Before leaving the field all pilot cages are to be
stored in the equiptment shed for protection and to allow mowing of the field.
6. If at any time our field is being mowed or worked on, all aircraft will be
grounded until finished.
7. There will be absolutely no vehicles driven or parked in the pit areas or on the
runways.
8. For safety, pilots shall stand behind gated flying stations when flying. There
will be a maximum of two persons at the pilot station. (pilot and spotter/helper).
09. A maximum of 4 electric, gas, glow or turbine aircraft may be in the air at any given time.
10. Only fixed wing aircraft (auto-gyro included) may fly, and no winches or high
starts of gliders are allowed.
11. When engines are started the aircraft must be secured either by an
experienced helper or by safe mechanical means. Engines may be briefly
test run in the pit area. engines started in the pit station my be taxied to the
flight line by hand not with transmitter. Planes with running engines should never by carried.
Planes may be started at fence opening but must be held by helper then taxied onto the field.
12. Pilots shall loudly announce, take offs, landings, dead sticks, entering the
runway and other emergency situations.
13. Any member or guest pilot who is involved in a mid air collision with another aircraft
or object, shall make every effort to immediately land his aircraft even though it may no
appear to have suffered any damage effecting control. Said aircraft will be thoroughly
inspected by the pilot before being permitted to fly again. Dogfighting, chasing or intentional
collisions will not be tolerated.
14. All breaking in of engines, engine testing and engine set ups will be done at the far end of the pit areas toward
the road.
15.The property has been designated a "Tobacco Free Area". There will be no smoking or
chewing of tobacco on the property. There will be no E-cigarettes/vaping allowed on the property or at club meetings.
There shall be no pets or alcoholic beverages permitted at any time including all club meeting, wherever held.
Please exercise reasonable caution and restraint in the consumption of alcohol prior to flying activities at the field
and club meetings.
16. The first pilot at the field will be responsible for putting up a pilot station. At least one section of safety fence and
additional pilot stations will be put up with two or more pilots at the field. Pilots are responsible for placing safety
fence directly infront of their pit area. The last person to leave the field is responsible for putting away fence and pilot stations.
There will be absolutely no stepping over safety fence.
17. All turbines will be started, run-up and any testing will be done in the turbine start-up area. The start-up area is a 4x4 aluminum
plate with built in blast gate located near the entry road. There will be no unnecessary taxing of turbines on the runway.
18. Night flying is limited to flying with electric aircraft only, with no flying after 10:00pm.
19. There will be no flying beyond the road, over neighbor’s house’s, or beyond the river.
You will receive one warning. The second time you will be grounded for 30 days.
20. There will be no flying within 25 feet of the pilot stations or blue safety fence at any time.
This includes hovering, fly-bys and landings.
a. All engines of 85cc and larger will have canisters installed on the motor for the
purpose of noise reduction.
b. No engine will use a prop that will crack the air (break the sound barrier). All pilots
will use throttle management to minimize noise.
c. If any plane seems to be excessively loud it will be required to meet AMA/IMAC
sound testing requirements of 96db or below at 25 feet, in line with the prop, down
wind and at a height of 2 feet before the plane can be allowed to fly again at the field.
21. First Person View (FPV) Flights: A FPV flight requires the primary pilot to use the
master controller and the FPV pilot (using the goggles) to use the slave
controller (Buddy Box).The master controller must have the release control
(trainer) function programmed (or hard wired) to a momentary switch. The primary
pilot must be attentive at all times. All FPV flights must be at an altitude and
distance where the primary pilot has adequate time to recover the aircraft
safely.
22. Wawayanda Flying Club guest pilots will not be permitted to fly turbine jets at our field.
